What kind of work should we automate first?
Start with repeatable admin work that already has a clear process: weekly reports, CRM updates, customer feedback reviews, data cleanup, handoffs, or recurring checks. The best first agent is small, easy to verify, and annoying enough that your team will feel the difference quickly.
How much work does it take to set up our first agent?
Create a new agent, describe what it should do in plain English, and keep refining it through chat. For the first version, start with the smallest useful workflow, run it manually, review the logs and documents, then add complexity step by step.
Can UpdateMate connect to the tools we already use?
Yes. Agents can use connectors for tools like HubSpot, Intercom, Google services, API keys, OAuth apps, and other APIs. Set up a connector once, then mention it when describing or editing an agent.
Do we need a developer to build and maintain agents?
You do not need machine learning expertise. You describe the process in chat, and UpdateMate generates and updates the agent. Teams that understand their workflow, APIs, and tools will get the most out of it.
How do we know agents are doing the right thing?
Every agent has a description that acts like a self-documenting SOP, and every run creates logs that show what happened step by step. Agents can also create documents, reports, and summaries you can review after each run.
What happens when an agent needs approval or gets stuck?
For workflows that change data, start by having the agent create a document of proposed changes so you can review them first. If a run fails, the log shows the error and gives you a path back to the agent chat to fix and rerun it.
How do you handle data privacy, security, and access?
Connectors store credentials securely, keep them out of agent code and logs, and handle authentication for API keys and OAuth. For Google connectors, you can choose read-only or read-and-write access depending on what the agent needs.
What support do we get after signing up?

What is included in the monthly price?
The monthly price includes agents, databases, actions, executions, users, logging, generous LLM tokens, and email and video support, subject to fair-use capacity.
Can we cancel if UpdateMate is not a fit?
We only want happy customers, so everything is monthly rolling. If UpdateMate is not a fit, you can cancel at any time. If you are unsure before buying, contact us and we can build an agent together.
